Walcheren is a peninsula that is known for its lovely beaches, historic towns, long coastline, winding country lanes, meandering polders and green pastures. A sightseeing tour is a great way of exploring the area.
One of the towns worth closer inspection is Veere. It is one of the most surprising places in Zeeland and has a considerable history that is still evident in the town today. This history combines nicely with modern-day Zeelandic hospitality and the town´s proximity to the ever-inspiring water. During the tour, a guide will take you to see the town's highlights, including the town hall, the ancient well and the Grote Kerk (Big Church).
The tour is followed by a visit to the Scottish Rooms, a museum that explores the past and the present with porcelain, furniture, period interiors, folk costume and temporary exhibitions about the art colony in Veere.
The museum will be followed by some free time.
